Course Description
This practical and skills-led course centres around formal aspects of drawing, focusing on developing methods to focus attention and see better. This will reveal how the skill of drawing is something that everyone can learn and develop further. We will unpack formal aspects such as shape, proportion, value, form and space, and try a range of materials to explore them for ourselves. We will work from a range of different subject matter, including natural forms, found objects, landscape and interior spaces. We’ll also take a closer look at examples from art through the ages, broadening our understanding of drawing as a versatile tool and a way of engaging with the world.
