Printmaking at Home - VACMA Project
This spring, I had a brilliant time on the Printmaking at Home online course from the The Royal Drawing School with Jake Garfield
I joined primarily to learn more about monoprint and as part of my VACMA project exploring imagined landscapes. I loved everything about monoprint and the way various approaches all did something different and constantly surprising to your usual mark making.
Relief print experiments were also exciting - breaking down an image and then watching it reveal itself again to you as you worked through the printing process.
Lots more exploring to do...!
With many thanks to Shetland Arts, Creative Scotland and Shetland Islands Council for their support through the VACMA programme.
Monoprinting
Reduction woodcut, first colour - the image appearing through the paper is magic!
